Introduction

In 2014, a group of volunteers began renovating the herb garden. This happened after it had been neglected for six years and the municipality of Venlo was on the verge of removing it. Shortly afterwards, the English Garden and the commercial forest were added, as these were also in a poor state of maintenance. Volunteers then took over the maintenance of the rest area, and in collaboration with Chateau Holtmühle, a vegetable garden was created on the old tennis court. A pig pasture is now also located near the parking lot.
